Walking tour in the border of Zamárdi
Zamárdi
Zamárd railway station - Szamárkő - lookout - Vaskereszt - landscape house - 6 km
From the Zamárd railway station, a tourist road leads to Szamárkő, which is considered the town's namesake. From there, we follow the yellow marked road to the lookout point offering a wonderful panorama, and then to the lonely group of rocks on Kőhegy, which was a place of sacrifice in ancient times. We continue our journey through forested areas to Vaskereszt, then we return to Zamárdi by following the yellow sign via Kopaszdomb. Before we get back to the train station, it is worth visiting the country house built in 1847, which bears the typical folk architectural features of the Balaton region.
